I would like to support Petit Prince

Petit Prince was originally found in a car tied up in a bag. His right leg was almost amputated by what appeared to be a snare injury. At the age of two months, he was one of the youngest orphans to arrive at the Tchimpounga Sanctuary. He needed a lot of love and attention to help him get over his injuries, but now is confidence is increasing.

I would like to support Timi

Timi was the 75th orphan chimpanzee to arrive at Tchimpounga Sanctuary in 2002. His origins are unknown. His mother was likely killed for bushmeat, and Timi was probably sold to local villagers for a few francs. Very weak when he arrived, his happiness and his ingeniousness surprise the caregivers every day.

When Jane Goodall first met Gregoire in the Congo's Brazzaville Zoo, he was skeleton-thin and almost bald from malnourishment. He had somehow survived in his small dark cage since 1944. Over time and with proper medical care, Gregoire gained weight and grew back much of his hair. In 1997 Gregoire and his friends were rescued from the zoo which had found itself in the middle of political unrest. In his sixties, Gregoire is the oldest living chimpanzee in captivity, yet his incredible vigour continues to amaze everyone.

I would like to support Kudia

In October 2006 the JGI Congo team, backed by the Congolese police, confiscated a very young female chimpanzee held by an unscrupulous roadside seller. The little orphan was meant to be a pet. About two years of age, she was traumatized by the loss of her mother and had been seriously mistreated and malnourished. She was transferred the same day to the Tchimpounga Sanctuary. As soon as she arrived Kudia started to enjoy life again thanks to the affection and care she is receiving.
