DisneyNature was a program offered by JGI Hong Kong and sponsored by the Disney Worldwide Conservation Fund through February to July of 2015. Catering to 10 schools 170 students, the program aimed to engage younger students to learn, appreciate and take action to help wildlife and their natural habitat. This was achieved through screenings of the DisneyNature documentaries, multimedia learning and hands-on activities that spanned over 4-8 hours. Towards the end of the program, students made posters that were placed around their school to raise awareness on their learning outcomes and each participating school were given a choice to field trip locations that were related to animals and wildlife – including animal shelters and Kadoorie Farm – where students got a more intimate look at animal related problems both in the wild and in the pet industry. This program received very positive feedback from educators and was one of our most popular programs to date.
