We at the Jane Goodall Institute (Hong Kong) would like to thank you for your support at our event last Wednesday, The Charitable Preview of“War for the Planet of the Apes”. We hope you enjoyed the preview of the film “War for the Planet of the Apes”. The subject of the film brought to life the greater perspective of humanity and the relationship with our primate counterparts. Violence is not the answer to the survival; it is the coexistence and care for our community that ultimately bands us together to create a better world.
Our Chimp Guardian program aims to bring together chimpanzees to build a safe and thriving environment for them to grow. Our center in Tchimpounga currently houses 150 chimpanzees, a sanctuary for chimpanzees and a representation of the kindness of humanity. These chimpanzees have been the victim illegal trade as pets or meat and were torn from their homes as infants, forced to experience the cruelty of human exploitation. The Chimp Guardian program is our second chance to rectify the mistakes we have made and to demonstrate our capability for compassion. It is through our combined efforts that we can make a difference. With your support we can truly pave a path towards a home in which Caesar himself would have dreamed of.
